You’ve probably seen those viral videos of young people with disabilities opening acceptance letters to colleges, but did you know that, until the last 25 years, students with IDD were not welcomed as college students? Attend this session to find out how more and more U.S. institutions of higher education have created post-secondary education programs for students with IDD. In this engaging workshop, we will talk about outcomes from these programs, including employment, and suggestions for how Best Buddies can be a campus partners for inclusion.
